2-Day Hike from Barreirinhas to Atins
Day 1: Barreirinhas - Baixa Grande
We'll pick you up bright and early from your hotel to start this 2-day trek from Barreirinhas to Atins.
We'll board a ferry, which will take us across the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park, where we'll start the hike. For 7 hours, we'll walk along beautiful trails that weave through the extensive sand dunes until we reach the village of Baixa Grande, where we will meet a local family and spend the night.
Day 2: Baixa Grande - Atins
After breakfast, we'll resume the trekking route through the park, visiting beautiful freshwater lagoons, dunes, and many other amazing places, until we reach the mouth of the Rio Negro. The hike will take us around 3 hours, with a stop along the way for lunch.
Once we reach the end of the road, an off-road vehicle will be waiting for you to take you to Atins. We'll arrive in the village at 11 am and drop you at the place of your choice.
